Well, that's the problem with, for example, the AFN in Alberta. Some AFN colonies get cash and others don't and, surprise, the AFNs without complain, usually environmental or traditional resource based, while the paid AFNs are eerily quiet; about everything. Same problem here. It's resources like whales and salmon, moose and trees and lands and seas. This is the real problem, not the transference of whales to gold, salmon to diamonds, moose and trees to oil. The AFN claim traditional resources as a way of claiming the transference. The only problem is the AFN is territorial, which the indigenous peoples are not and never were - beyond the concept of hunter gatherers, but not traditionally nomadic, following natural resources all over North America and adventuring to today, like the voyagers finding sea canoes and rivers of resources.
As we've said in the past, the future is not the AFN. It is a direct benefit to each and every Aboriginal, regardless of where they've been told to live and borders. This is the only way to be fair in all this. The Prime Minister has responded with direct benefits to those who can afford to have children. This is, we feel, is a traditional way of taking benefits away from Aboriginals - the government should do this for everyone, not just Aboriginals. A greed that shows itself in the recent AFN and provincial crowns deals. So, the government ends up paying again after admitting they made errors in benfiting Aboriginals - usually when the cash and resources are long gone.

Majority Aboriginals, Disenfranchised by the AFN, Discount Most Treaties #TreatyOn
The Crowns they made deals with changed who the treaty is with - like housing. Over the last ten years we've seen the AFN treaty away federal agreements for provincial cash and lands. Majority Aboriginals usually receive no benefit from treaties and aren't' counted by the AFN as aboriginal or to vote or be counted by the AFN Bands for housing and other benefits.
AFN treatying reprenents a small majority of Aboriginals. Can we check the band lists from early on?

Majority Aboriginals, Disenfranchised by the AFN, do not recognize AFN Ownership of Canadian Lands and Seas
The AFN bars Aboriginals from AFN Crowns lands and seas grants. While the crowns representatives are allowed seats, majority Aboriginals are barred. Sounds the same as the colonies and confederation of provinces.
The AFN should renounce all violence, not bills they've agreed to live under.

While the AFN and Crowns have Settled, Majority Aboriginals have not
Like the settlers colonies receiving lands and seas grants from the crown, so has the AFN. Majority Aboriginals, e.g. the AFN disenfranchised, haven't been consulted and still have valid claims to lands and seas resources that have yet to be reconciled.

'Targeted' Investing
This just puts money meant for Aboriginals into the provincial and AFN employees pockets. There is no accounting for the AFN disenfranchised Aboriginals on the band lists all over Canada. Most Aboriginals have been forced out by the AFN and are not allowed to participate in the resource use by the provinces and the AFN. Of course, there will be accountability.......
